Rongo Chips

Integration, not collection.

Whiro logs what happened. Rongo stores what was learned. The Whiro chip is the dark accounting before the cut. The Rongo chip is the settling after it: the moment the dust settles, the breath slows, and the lesson is tied off so the same one never has to be paid for twice.

The recipe

Rongo's output has a precise name: the recipe. The specific parameters that produced a specific result. Not a plan for the future. A record of what actually happened, in enough detail that it can be reproduced, or avoided, in the next session. The recipe is the atom of technical knowledge that accumulates across a lifetime of work.

This is what separates integration from collection. A collection of chips is a pile. An integrated chip changes what the system knows. The distinction matters because a chip received is not yet stored. It is held in suspension until the settling time passes. Only then does the commit run.

The settling law The action and the sealed record are separated by the settling gap. Reflection only works in still water. The sea returns a true image only when the surface is calm. Integration attempted from a disrupted state is distortion stored as knowledge.

The Compass makes this structural. Tāwhiri, position 6, absorbs the disruption of the act: no mirror in a gale. Tangaroa, position 7, compares what is present to the named intention. Only then does Rongo, position 8, store the lesson. A practitioner who reflects while still stirred stores their agitation as truth.

Ruru, when action stops

The instrument requires not only preparation before use but return after use. Whakarata governs the entry into the work. Ruru, the morepork whose call moves through the dark after the day's work has ended, governs the exit.

The protocol is specific. Before sleep, the practitioner settles the breath into the puku and reviews the session's evidence. Not analysis. Not planning. The day's chips, what was felt and left unnamed, are placed into the threshold of sleep as seeds, not questions.

The Ruru law No truth is produced by action alone. Truth is acknowledged only after stimulus is withdrawn. The session generates the chips. The Ruru state is where the chips are read by the instrument without the instrument's own noise in the way.

What rises first in the morning, before analysis begins, is treated as evidence. Not instruction, not command. A reading, to be checked against the day's conditions before acting on it. The smallest sealed receipt of the night's processing.

Whiro records the wound. Rongo records the healing. Both are chips. Both are the ledger.
